After their long hiatus, Something Corporate are back. The OC band is coming to Los Angeles in late August despite not having released any new material; they did however, released a compilation, Played in Space: The Best of Something Corporate, earlier this year. I’m going to take a wild guess and say that the boys will be playing their best material. Here’s your chance to see them live at Club Nokia on Saturday August 28. Progression comes from perseverance. Perseverance comes from overcoming adversity. And overcoming adversity? No one can tell that story better than Jack’s Mannequin and Andrew McMahon. Jack’s Mannequin consists of a group of individuals that initially started out as a side project and eventually became a main concentration after indie rock band Something Corporate broke up.
What makes them so great? A blend of piano and rock make this quintet unique in the sense that they can rock out and sound classy at the same time. Their first album, Everything In Transit, garnered wonderful reviews from both critics and consumers alike. Their new album, The Glass Passenger, is on the rise and has been accepted by fans and friends alike.
