VH1′s Divas Salute the Troops was packed with sequins and colorful hair on Sunday night. The event was hosted by comedian Kathy Griffith and featured performances by a variety of divas. Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj covered Cyndi Lauper‘s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.” Paramore‘s Haley Williams performed to an enthusiastic crowd in Camp Arifjan in Kuwait. And the legendary Aretha Franklin (who is recovering from surgery) received a surprise tribute from Sugarland and rapper MC Lyte.
