Ok, emo-indie kids, get all excited (or pretend not to be excited because I’m around, and give me a non-committal shrug and “meh” before hopping up and down after I leave): after being hinted at earlier this year, it was announced today that the latest iteration of Taking Back Sunday’s band lineup has dissolved, with Matt Rubano and Matthew Fazzi getting the boot to make way for the return of original vocalist and guitarist John Nolan and bassist Shaun Cooper.

Taking Back Sunday has apparently had some very recent and abrupt changes in their line up. It seems that both bassist Matt Rubano and guitarist Matt Fazzi have been asked to leave the group according to some messages that have just been posted on the Taking Back Sunday website. There is no confirmation on why the two members have been asked to leave but our headline pretty much announces our hunch.

Here are a few entertaining news stories from this Labor Day weekend…
- The single” 21 Guns” off of Green Day‘s latest album, 21st Century Breakdown has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America. The album’s first digital single, “Know Your Enemy,” went gold earlier this summer.
- The #1 DJ Fan Competition is back! DJMag wants to to find the biggest, most dedicated DJ fan in the world. If you participate in their contest you could win a trip to London for the Top 100 DJs party on October 28th. [DJMAG]
- Taking Back Sunday and All American Rejects are co-headling a tour starting this November. Both bands will be promoting their latest albums entitled, New Again and When the World Comes Down.
- Jason Reeves will also hit the stage this fall with an acoustic tour starting on November 12th. [Jason Reeves]
- Pop-Soul duo Nikki & Rich have signed on with Warner Bros Records. Their debut album is set for release next year, but you can hear their first single “Cat & Mouse” on the premiere episode of The CW hit, 90210 on September 8th. [Nikki&Rich]

I know MANY of you concert-goers have found yourself at Denny’s at 2am recharging after a show. Well, Taking Back Sunday is no different. Recently they have been added to Denny’s Rockstar Menu, with the Melty Grilled Chicken and Sausage Quesadilla. No room for vegetarian’s here! Denny’s Allnighter has teamed up with the band to give away a pair of tickets to EVERY show on their upcoming tour.
In addition, Taking Back Sunday will be hosting exclusive Denny’s Allnighter after parties following shows in Tucson, AZ and Norfolk, VA at the local Denny’s where they will be on-hand meeting fans, taking photos, signing autographs, and of course, eating!
