The photos were taken by a fan, Gwyn Blanchard, when she was only 13-years-old with a little Kodak camera. Blanchard happened to live in the town where the group was filming one of their movies, entitled Help!.

In addition, EMI remastered and re-released all of the Beatles albums with new box sets, and boy has it paid off! In the five days after the September 9th release, 2.25 million albums were sold worldwide with a million in the U.S. alone. Lucy Vodden, the woman who provided the inspiration for the Beatles song Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds has passed away after a long battle with lupus. She was 46 years old. Her death was announced Monday by St. Thomas Hospital in London where she had been treated for the chronic illness for more than five years. Britain’s Press Association said she died last Tuesday but hospital officials said they could not confirm the day of her death.

What year is this? It feels like we’re having a bit of deja vu. The Beatles are behind several of the top selling albums for the week that ended on September 13 with the reissue of their earlier albums. According to Yahoo, Abbey Road, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Heart’s Club Band, The Beatles, Rubber Soul, and Revolver, were all among the 10 biggest albums in the United States, that sold a total of 626 thousand copies.
