Twenty years after the debut of Shake Your Money Maker, The Black Crowes are closing the books on two decades of damn good bluesy rock n’ roll.
After six straight years of touring and three records in three years, the Crowes ‘Say Goodbye to the Bad Guys’ tour reached its finale last night at the Fillmore in San Francisco with the last of six shows at the legendary venue.
Up next is an indefinite hiatus. That could mean two years, three years – maybe forever. But they go out at the top of their game.

The band that was once called the “most Rock ‘n’ Roll, Rock ‘n’ Roll band in the World” is going on hiatus. According to Pollstar, The Black Crowes will be playing shows across the country for what they’re calling their “Say Goodnight to the Bad Boys” tour.

The Black Crowes released their new DVD, Cabin Fever, today (Nov. 24), which includes footage from recording sessions that took place during five nights in front of an intimate studio audience at Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock, NY. Those sessions would evolve into the recently released double album Before the Frost…Until the Freeze.
Directed, filmed and edited by Matthew Mendenhall and Masashi Ohtsu, Cabin Fever takes the creative experience a step further by inviting fans to check out behind the scenes footage of both the recording and songwriting sessions, plus interaction between the band and the audience. If you like The Black Crowes, this film is gold. Gold!
