New York City’s The Virgins are no strangers to festivals. Having played All Points West back in 2008 along with the SXSW festival in the same year, they seemed to feel right at home at Lollapalooza. You may not have heard of the Virgins, but when it comes to the music scene, they are anything but (virgins, that is!). Before the band even officially formed, they were signed to Atlantic Records. Their music has been featured as the score to an episode of Gossip Girl. They’ve toured with Jet and have even opened for rock legends Sonic Youth.
Well, if they’re such a great band, then why haven’t you heard of them yet? Their eponymous album, The Virgins, has yet to hit its one year anniversary, and their only other claim to fame would have to be an episode of Entourage. Nonetheless, their non-stop touring is slowly helping them garner attention, and their dance-able Strokes-like music only makes them seem that much more amiable.
Catch The Virgins on tour in a city near you and check them out in our BeatCrave Fav series below! Continue Reading

Wow. Watch out Coachella, there’s a new festival in town. Who knew that one of the most unique lineups you’d ever seen would be held at Bicentennial Park in Miama. The Langerado Music Festival is where the above photo was taken, so I guess it’s fair to say, they’ve does this kind of thing before. But they mix up everything from Flogging Molly, to Snoop Dogg, and Death Cab for Cutie, to Girl Talk. How cool is that?
