Many of you may remember thenewno2 from our Know your LA Bands series or possibly some where else not as cool. We just found out about some awesome new stuff going on with the thenewno2. Their new song, “Another John Doe” and their older release “Choose What You’re Watching” are available on iTunes now. They will be releasing their new album, YOU ARE HERE on August 1st and you can buy or download from their MySpace. Just to tide you over until then, you can also find their new track “Yomp” which will be featured on YOU ARE HERE, available on RockBand for PS3 and XBOX 306 on July 29th. The one thing that I never knew about TheNewNo2 when we interviewed them was how amazing their fan base is. Their fans seem to follow them passionately as well as creatively. TheNewNo2 has set up a fan art section where fans can upload their work.

CityZine brings you LA band, thenewno2, as a part of our “Get to know your LA Bands” series where we introduce you to a variety of bands and you tell us what you think. Recently, CityZine sat down the two band members that make up thenewno2 (hey maybe that’s where their name comes from), Dhani Harrison who plays lead guitar, synths and vocals, and Oli Hecks who plays on drums and synths, to ask them about road trip experiences and guilty pleasures.

Keep an eye out on LA.CityZine for news on their soon to be released CD featuring Bryony Atkinson on Vocals, Nick Fyffe on bass, Marc Mann on Acoustic Guitar and Tom Hammond on cello. We will also have updates on any upcoming shows they will be performing in the LA.
