Much like “Duck, duck, goose,” it also goes the same way for speculations and confirmations: “Rumor, rumor, fact.” We Internet geeks just eat this stuff up, so we want to throw another one at you.
As a side note to the unveiling of Stagecoach’s full line-up featuring country artists such as Keith Urban, Sugarland, and The Avett Brothers, Billboard has also confirmed our hunch by stating that Coachella 2010 will take place on the familiar grounds of Indio, California on April 16 – 18. This makes sense since the indie toting festival has repeatedly taken place one week before the country festival.

Well, we were right. EVERYONE was right. In retrospect, it was a little too obvious. Thom Yorke and his new band will, indeed, be playing a show at The Echoplex tomorrow, Friday – October 2nd, 2009.
This show is supposed to be a secret, but we have really big mouths and want to share the wealth! Even after someone on Craigslist offered up their advance tickets for $200 and their publicist didn’t “deny it,” you can now purchase them for only $20. Angelenos and SoCal neighbors: Find out how to get your tickets after the jump!

As if being one of rock’s most famous icons for the current generation and putting out a brand new single solo-style weren’t enough, Thom Yorke has decided to form a new band.
We suspected this but we didn’t expect the band to be another super-group! It looks like the best of the best are all teaming up together to make a substantial impact on music lovers. (Well, some of them.)
Last night, Yorke announced that the band includes Flea (Red Hot Chilli Peppers), Nigel Godrich (producer), Joey Waronker (Beck’s drummer), and Mauro Refosco. Along with that announcement on Dead Air Space, a statement was sent out emphasizing the fact that “Radiohead is not breaking up,” but that Yorke and his new super-group band will be playing the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles on October 4 and 5. Check his message out along with a link to the tickets!

The New Moon soundtrack has been announced, and it couldn’t be any more different from the first one! We knew it was going to have an indie sound, but this is just ridiculous! Ridiculous in a good way, anyway.
We had known about Thom Yorke, Bon Iver, Band of Skulls, and Death Cab For Cutie but who knew the Bon Iver track was going to be a duet with St. Vincent! Others that were recently suspected and now confirmed are The Killers, Grizzly Bear, and Stephanie Meyer’s muse, Muse.
Although one part of us is surprised that indie darlings, Anya Marina and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, are also in the mix, another part says this makes sense. A few of these artists are somehow associated with Alexandra Patsavas’ label, Chop Shop, or her close friends, Nettwerk Music Group. Check out the full track list below and tell us what you think!

Radiohead have been no strangers to using various forms of art as a means of expression. Whether it’s through their music, the artwork in the sleeves of their albums or through their music videos; they are always on the lookout for new modern art to help bring forth the visual challenge of expressing the ever changing ebb and flow of their music.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that this trend continued when lead singer Thom Yorke released his music video for “The Hollow Earth”. This is the first time Yorke has teamed up with graffiti artist Bansky, who is most known for his books laying around your local Urban Outfitters. Filmmaker Raymond Salvatore Harmon also joins the party directing this video, which makes for a unique combination of different artistic sensibilities. Dark and captivating images run wildly in and out to the rhythm of the beat while Yorke’s voice soars leaving your mind in a contemplative state.
Check out the new music video below…

After the first Twilight soundtrack sold 2.2 million copies (Neilsen SoundScan), artists, managers, publicists and labels have been scrambling for a spot on the next album.
So far Thom Yorke, Bon Iver and Band of Skulls are all confirmed for New Moon‘s soundtrack. Death Cab for Cutie also scored big time as their song, “Meet Me on the Equinox” was chosen as the soundtrack’s leading single. However, famous music supervisor, Alexandra Patsavas (known for placing the music for Grey’s Anatomy, Gossip Girl and the first Twilight film), has told the New York Times, that the track listing is not complete yet.
