With it being close to Thanksgiving and all, this is a very slow time for the concert on sale world. In fact, don’t expect a lot of groundbreaking announcements until January when stuff like the Warped Tour and Coachella go on sale. In the meantime, here are a couple of indie rock tours to keep you interested. Or, you know, feel free to line up a week early for Black Friday. How many $3 toasters can you buy with an unemployment check?

Ever since Phish announced their fall tour dates earlier this month it has been like a ticking clock for Phish fans. According to Syracuse, fans stood in line at the Onondaga County War Memorial in Syracuse, NY this morning, as early as 11 a.m. Thursday, waiting to get ticket’s to Phish’s November 22 show in Syracuse.
6,800 tickets went on sale via Ticketmaster and over the phone, but the dedicated fans from the band’s hometown weren’t risking their chance to get Phish tickets. Pavement will play select cities on a world tour in 2010 and the first show will be on September 21, 2010 as part of a benefit concert at New York City’s Rumsey Playfield in Central Park. Pre-sale begins this Friday, Sept. 18, at 10:00 AM EDT at ticketmaster.com. There’s more info after the jump!

Here in the greater Los Angeles area it’s too hot to move. The last few days I’ve felt like one of those cold-blooded reptiles who moves as little as possible to conserve precious energy. A reptile who only emerges for food or the occasional Franz Ferdinand concert (by the way, Hollywood Palladium: how about a little more AC? It felt like bouncing up-and-down in a sauna last night).
Anywho, stay inside this weekend, drink plenty of water and buy some concert tickets. Like these…
