weezer Weezer Announces First Blue Pinkteron Tour Dates

Weezer‘s video for their latest single, “Memories,” from Hurley may have made Jackasses of themselves and the new tour may be named after the new song but it’s still pretty exciting to know that this tour will focus on the material released when Weezer seemed like they could do no wrong. Album Review: Alright Alright, You Are One Of Us Now

Alright Alright 1 9 10 kc Album Review: Alright Alright, You Are One Of Us Now

Alright Alright’s April 2010 release, You Are One of Us Now, is a collection of fun, indie power pop jams cut from the cloth of The B52s, Mary’s Danish, and Los Angeles’ own, Homesick Elephant. Cheery boy-girl harmonies carry the theatrical performance but unlike The B52s, Alright Alright’s record plays more like an episode of “Glee” than a serious musical endeavor.

Interpol Music Video Lights Interpol Music Video: Lights

Interpol is making a dramatic comeback after their three-year hiatus. Everything from their dark new song, “Lights,” to Carlos D quitting the band as bassist to having canceled tour dates because of Bono’s back surgery. It’s been shaky to say the least. However, they’re back to say that they’ve just mapped out a massive North American tour with new bassist, David Pajo. To get ready for the tour, what else do they have? A dramatic new video for their single, of course.

Whitney Houston Hospitalized In Paris Cancels Concerts Whitney Houston Hospitalized In Paris, Cancels Concerts

Infamous pop singer, Whitney Houston, has canceled a couple of more tour dates as she was hospitalized for a respiratory infection while she was in Paris, France. What was supposed to be the beginning of her comeback tour, “Nothing But Love,” has turned into a disappointment for fans over in Europe due to her health problems.

It’s been a rough comeback for Houston, as we saw and heard in some live footage earlier in the year but we hope the singer can recover enough so she can continue her tour and maintain her legacy in the music industry.

Arctic Monkeys Will Immediately Head To Studio After Touring1 Arctic Monkeys Will Immediately Head To Studio After Touring

Hard work pays off when you’re musicians on the road touring and making an album, and Arctic Monkeys seem to have this mentality. Although they’ve only recently released their album, Humbug, in 2009 and touring in support of the successful album, they’re eager to go back into the studio and record some new material while it’s still fresh in their minds.

As fans of Humbug, we can’t help but encourage this strong effort of theirs to release new music. Of course, there aren’t really any specific details about the upcoming album yet since they’re still on tour but the little bit of news back from November is a tad more fleshed out now.
