Watch Thom Yorke Debuts Three New Songs1 Watch: Thom Yorke Debuts Three New Songs

Thom Yorke took the liberty of debuting three new songs while he was playing in Cambridge, England last night. Playing as part of a benefit show for Green Party member, Tony Juniper, the frontman of Radiohead and now new solo band, Atoms For Peace, gave a sneak peek of what may just become recordings later on? (There are rumors of Yorke going into the studio for Atoms For Peace.) These are indeed three new songs since the last time Yorke and his band played the surprise show in Los Angeles a few months ago.

Sunset Rubdown, an art rock band from Montreal, Quebec and former BeatCrave Fav, originally started as a solo project for Wolf Parade member, Spencer Krug, but has since then grown into a four piece who all seem to be obsessed with dragons. Their latest video for “Dragon’s Lair,” a track off of their latest album, Dragonslayer, is nearly 11 minutes but does not actually feature any dragons.

Presidents Day Song By Jimmy Fallon VOTD: Presidents Day Song By Jimmy Fallon

Oh, Jimmy Fallon. What would we do without his remakes of “Pants on the Ground” and his other hundred songs of nonsense? By the power of Conan, Jimmy Fallon still stays on the air via NBC and we’re pretty happy about that. Although he’s officially a talk show host now, he hasn’t stopped bringing us his SNL-like tunes such as the one below!

There were a ton of new and young faces that made the cut this time such as Miley Cyrus, Nick Jonas, and Justin Beiber – who even got to sing the opening lines which Lionel Richie sang back in 1985.

Rihanna Music Video Rude Boy Rihanna Music Video: Rude Boy

Rihanna has just premiered a brand new video for her track, “Rude Boy,” off of her latest album, Rated R. Although the album at first presented a dark and moody tone just as her leading video for “Russian Roulette” did, this single takes us back into the colorful and tropical realm in which Rihanna seems to feel more at home. She is from Barbados after all.

Although, some may at first liken it to M.I.A.‘s videos, “Galang” and “Boyz” because of the colors and even right down to the lip curl, we feel that Rihanna gives it her own touch with those hip twerks and that sexy attitude. Besides, M.I.A. didn’t copyright the style but only personified it. Directed by Melina Matsoukas who did her previous video, “Hard,” Rihanna goes back to her roots with Jamaican dance-hall costumes. Take a look below, then vote to let us know what you’ve decided!

Cold Cave Music Video Life Magazine Cold Cave Music Video: Life Magazine

Cold Cave returns with a video for one of our favorite tracks off of their latest album, Love Comes Close. “Life Magazine” in video form, involves a familiar face. In fact, it is Marti Domination, the same woman on the front cover of their album. Directed by Ben Chappell and Aaron Brown, the images perfectly match the balance of electro-pop and goth sounds that accompany a night out. If you’d like a night out with Cold Cave, you’re just in luck. They’ve announced plenty of more tour dates.

We recently saw a sold-out show with Cold Cave and Nite Jewel. You can read the review and see photos here. Watch the new video for “Life Magazine” below!

Elizabeth and the Catapult returns with another charming video which offers reminiscent shouts of childhood. Playfulness seems to be a motif that works for this trio. Previously featured in our Know Your NYC Bands and BeatCrave Fav series, this band has their own pop jazz style that anyone with a musical ear can latch on to.

Their debut album, Taller Children, is out via Verve Forecast and they are currently touring with Justin Nozuka. Check out their latest video for the track, “Race You,” below!

Surfer Blood Music Video Swim Surfer Blood Music Video: Swim

Surfer Blood get a little mean and out of control (in the funnest way possible) in their official video for their single “Swim.” The track which is off of their debut album, Astro Coast, via Kanine Records is one of the more authentic “surf rock” tunes recently released today. Hailing from West Palm Beach, Florida these baby-faced boys have gotten our attention with songs such as “Floating Vibes” and the one in the video below.

Check the video out below to see and hear why they’ve made our Bands To Look Out For In 2010 list!

Local Natives has a new video for their hit song, “Airplanes.” Although we do like their live split screen videos, this one steps into an old abandoned house where their portraits are touched by a supernatural force making the setting unexpectedly eerie despite the sweet lyrics.

Watch out for skulls, paranormal activity, and vegetables suddenly attacking in the video below. We’ve also got the old version for you, too!
