Every once in a while, it’s nice to take a step away from the indie pool and swim in a different lake of sound. Dive into the Seattle noise that flooded America in the early 90′s with a band that brings a new twist on the grunge-rock genre with a (not so) subtle dash of power-pop: Visqueen.
Founded in 2001, Visqueen is fronted by the fiery aesthetic of Rachel Flotard who adds a distinctly sweet-yet-dangerous layer to college-esque band that’s clearly graduated into a music all their own. We at BeatCrave are excited to add this awesome band to our BeatCrave Fav series. Take a moment and enjoy getting to know Visqueen.

Neko Case has set a release date for her new album Middle Cyclone. The follow-up to her highly acclaimed Fox Confessor Bring The Flood will drop on March 3rd.
For the fifteen track album Case brought on a slew of guest appearances from musicians including M.Ward, Los Lobos, Calexico, Giant Sand, the Band’s Garth Hudson, the Sadies, Visqueen, Sarah Hammer, and some of her band mates from the New Pornographers.
