As the 2010 wraps up, all the blogs are posting their end of the year lists. We’ll also be presenting a ton of lists including Top Albums of 2010, Top Videos of 2010, Top Concerts of 2010 and plenty more! However–we are kicking off the best of the best with some of the artists YOU – the reader – have chosen as some of our favorite BeatCrave Favs. We not only began highlighting some of the best up-and-coming, talented indie acts in February but we also gave you a chance to crown some artists with a BeatCrave Fav of the Month title. Those who earned the title advanced into the running for 2010′s last Fav poll.

It’s that time again! BeatCrave and our lovely friends over at I Promote Good Bands have teamed up to present another stellar show. On August 19th – which is less than two weeks from today – we will be having a blast at Labrie’s Lounge with bands, Wet & Reckless, Wake Up Lucid and Lesands!

These fantastic bands should sound familiar to you as all three bands have been featured in our BeatCrave Fav series. The party will commence at 8:30pm and the venue is the same great place we had our last show in the Glendale area.  More details after the jump!

Cousins Ryan, Ian and Jamie Baca make up the trio Wake Up Lucid. Right off the bat, the one thing that stands out about this LA band is their heavy 60s influence. Singer-guitarist Ryan has put the weight of the band’s sound on the guitar. Their song “A Minor” off of their debut EP “Look Alive People” really sets the bar high for this up and coming rock band.

Being the huge Jimi Hendrix fan that I am, nothing is more impressive than a golden god. Wake Up Lucid may have a long journey ahead of them, but if they continue showing off their amazing guitar skills, surely someone (ahem, label) is bound to pay attention. Wake Up Lucid is keeping it real and for that they deserve to be our BeatCrave Fav today. Check them out below!

We’ve got another treat for you BeatCrave readers! We’re getting back on the band wagon and bringing you some great shows this summer and our first is less than two weeks away. We’re very proud to present Wires in the Walls along with The Steelwells, Oh Darling and Wake up Lucid at Spaceland on July 8th.

A majority of these bands have been featured in our BeatCrave Fav series so it shouldn’t be a surprise when we say we’re very excited! It all goes down at 8:30 pm for ages 21 and up. Tickets are only $7 but are $5 if you RSVP ahead of time! Also, we’re giving tickets away! More info and the entire poster after the jump.
