Assuming her place as the rightful heir of slick, schlocky, celebrity-obsessed music-making now that her father has long moved on to be king of slick, schlocky, celebrity-obsessed filmmaking, Willow Smith has been hinting that she may cover follow up her disturbing popular “Whip My Hair” single with a cover of “Parents Just Don’t Understand,” the 1988 rap song performed by DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince (that’s her dad, Will Smith, to you). Because, if the world is clamoring for anything, it’s more covers of DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince songs.

Because enough wasn’t done to tarnish the relationship between the United States and Europe during the eight years of the Bush presidency, Willow Smith (one of Will Smith’s two sacrificial lambs offered up to pop culture in recent years) will be joining Justin Bieber on a tour of Europe early next year, spreading their plague of wholesome American pop craptaculars to hopefully engender the further deterioration of ties and relationships between the U.S. and Europe.

Jimmy Fallon‘s covers of pop songs and internet sensations which are channeled through Neil Young are not a new thing. We’ve seen Fallon’s Young persona sing hits such as the theme song to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, General Larry Platt’s “Pants On the Ground,” in addition to a melodic rendition of the Double Rainbow guy on YouTube.

Little Jaden recently took over the reigns as the new Karate Kid, and now his younger sister Willow Smith wants to try her hand at music.
